[Bug 1513910] Re: libertine config of gimp for single window mode
I'm switching window managers in Libertine. We will now be using Matchbox which is a very small and simple WM. When using Matchbox, single window mode in Gimp is correct. Once we release Libertine, I'll close out this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1513910 Title: libertine config of gimp for single window mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-pocket-desktop/+bug/1513910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1513910] Re: libertine config of gimp for single window mode
Compiz is indeed running, but it is refusing to manage the window. Looking at the Compiz code, there are only two ways that it will not manage a newly created window: "if (w->priv->serverFrame == event->xcreatewindow.window)" and "if (wa.root != event->xcreatewindow.parent)" Those will prompt Compiz to refuse to manage the window. Also, this issue is occurring in Libreoffice as well.
"Xmir root window" means you need to run a window manager yourself. And I can't see any titlebar etc from a window manager in the screenshot...? The screenshot looks correct. Just user error. Or Libertine/whatever failed to start a WM. ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1513910 Title: libertine config of gimp for single window mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-pocket-desktop/+bug/1513910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1513910] Re: libertine config of gimp for single window mode
I really don't think this is a Libertine issue in and of itself. Looks more like Xmir may be the culprit, at least that is probably where the investigation should start. ** Also affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags added: xmir -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1513910 Title: libertine config of gimp for single window mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-pocket-desktop/+bug/1513910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
