[Bug 151470] Re: after update refresh/resolution issue
I've successfully install Ubuntu Gutsy on my HP Compaq nx9010. No display problem anymore. However, you may need some tweak on usplash resolution. Go to terminal: sudo gedit /etc/usplash.conf change "xres=1280" to "xres=1024" change "yres=1024" to "yres=768" save changes to file and exit gedit sudo update-usplash-theme usplash-theme-ubuntu that will do... -- after update refresh/resolution issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 151470] Re: after update refresh/resolution issue
I discovered my answer to my problem on the KubuntuForums.net website. Try using the keyboard shortcut [CTRL]+[Alt]+[+] or [-]. -- after update refresh/resolution issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 151470] Re: after update refresh/resolution issue
I don't understand why something that worked in 6.10 is now suddenly not working in 7.04. My Screen resolution is all mixed up. I'm using Kubuntu. First - The desktop screen was larger than my monitor screen. When I moved my mouse to the right, then the screen scrolled further right to see the off-screen display. Second - After I fiddled around with the "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" settings, I managed to have everything shown within my monitor's boundaries. However, no matter how I try to set it to [EMAIL PROTECTED], it keeps on falling back to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In my Monitor & Display - System Settings, under the Hardware tab, I selected the generic [EMAIL PROTECTED] monitor, but under the Size, Orientation & Positioning tab the maximum I can go is [EMAIL PROTECTED] My monitor was working fine under 6.04 with the [EMAIL PROTECTED] setting. My monitor is a LG Studioworks 552V and I have a Matrox Millenium II graphics card using the mga driver. -- after update refresh/resolution issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
