I just tried this on hardy, and everything works correctly. Yes. I believe 96 is the default on Gutsy too as I did a fresh install and didn't change my font settings and it was fine. There are no rendering problems at 96dpi. This is still on gutsy. Does it change if you use 96DPI (default on hardy)? Thanks. I don't think this is the driver's fault. Worked with Arne Goetje and determined it was not fontconfig and probably the ati driver instead.
