I was able to reproduce the issue with btrfs balance that I was running into and got some of the tracebacks by sending syslog messages to another server. However it appears that it may be a different issue. I've run into a similar issue running balance on a 3 disk btrfs filesystem with data and metadata set to raid 1. I can't confirm that I'm seeing this same exact error as I don't have any of the log output as my entire system is running on this btrfs volume. Only was able to see the output over the IPMI KVM Console. Upgrading to kernel 4.3.3 seems to address my issue. Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
