[Bug 1542934] Re: hdmi not working

[Bug 1542934] Re: hdmi not working
After an update, hdmi was not working anymore (no video and no sound). So i did the command: sudo gedit /etc/default/grub and changed "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="NOMODESET"" into "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash radeon.audio=1"" then sudo update-grub it fixed the problem for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1542934 Title: hdmi not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1542934/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 1542934] Re: hdmi not working
I can not as it says: "It appears you are currently running a mainline kernel. It would be better to report this bug upstream at http://bugzilla.kernel.org/ so that the upstream kernel developers are aware of the issue. If you'd still like to file a bug against the Ubuntu kernel, please boot with an official Ubuntu kernel and re-file." So I am going to file it there as Ubuntu does not allow me to override and file the bug report. Dňa 24.02.2016 o 18:23 Christopher M. dusoft, as this report is closed, it will help immensely if you filed a new report with the Ubuntu repository kernel (not mainline/upstream) via a terminal: ubuntu-bug linux Please feel free to subscribe me to it.
