Binary package hint: gnome-panel
After a short but random interval, gnome-panel hangs on my system, and
starts allocating ram to itself until the system runs out of memory.
The notification area applets seem to be ok, i.e. xeyes still follows
the cursor, but the applications, places, and system menu all are non-
responsive.
This is on 7.10 upgraded from 7.04 from 6.10
