[Bug 155285] Re: Terminal debug output is broken in Gutsy (ekiga -d 4)

2008-08-28 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Intrepid Ibex. It would help us greatly if you
could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next
release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release
at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your
help.

Ekiga's window appears at the end of this process. It takes about 6
minutes to load. I had similar freezes with the Wizard (step 6/10), when
I play around in the options as well as when closing the application. I
think it might be a hardware compatibility issue, like the audio card
perhaps. Although I installed Automatix2, I don't thing it messed
anything that could be the cause of this disorder.

Thanks

[Bug 155285] Re: Terminal debug output is broken in Gutsy (ekiga -d 4)

2007-10-21 Thread Yannick Defais
Hi,

A workaround to this is to install libopal-2.2-ptrace instead of
libopal-2.2

$ sudo apt-get install libopal-2.2-ptrace

then

$ ekiga -d 4

This will produce a useful debug output with the SIP protocol.

Thus, I think OPAL and Ekiga should be repackaged.

Regards,
Yannick
