Agreed. Or at least backport all crashers and functionality flaws. Appears to be at least 7 crashers mentioned in release notes, maybe more. This isn't surprising, since as a release candidate suddenly gains a larger audience, is necessary to release bugfix versions. Please update GIMP for Gutsy to version 2.4.2. 2.4.0rc3 is a *release candidate*, not a real release. A number of annoying bugs have been fixed since 2.4.0rc3, including some potential crashes.
