Public bug reported:

I tried to setup MAAS behind an authenticating proxy.
When trying to enter "http://foo:bar@proxy/"; in the Settings -> Network 
Configuration -> Proxy for APT and HTTP/HTTPS, I get "Enter a valid URL." as an 
error.
