Good mroning, I am wondering if this bug was resovled in one of the updates. I am unable to reproduce this bug. My system also does not have any problems w/ the _ in the entries in kmenu. The solution is: Go to K System Settings Regional Language Under the Locale tab, select your location in the top right drop down list I found this fix on at http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3087586.msg94260#msg94260. Please fix this properly! I can confirm it for the alternate CD. This is a major usability issue. This should be set to critical if not showstopper. Should this really be low priority? Imagine you are migrating from windows, you are not a power user and you have never used KDE before. One of the first things you would find on logging in would be this very ugly and obviously buggy menu.
