These fonts are part of the desktop-common seed. They are included in all Ubuntu flavors and cannot be selectively excluded by Xubuntu. These font packages are recommended packages, and can be easily uninstalled (or not installed in the first place with --no-install- recommends). $ apt depends xubuntu-desktop xubuntu-desktop ...
