Public bug reported: Presently, payment-service is only available to apps using Qt via Qt Purchasing add-on. However, non-Qt apps (mostly games) need some other way to process IAPs. A possible solution is to make libpay2 "public"/stable, or create another wrapper library around it for easier use.
Another possible problem with reliance on Qt Purchasing are apps written in language other than C/C++. A simple library to which a binding in any language could be written would be useful in this case. This bug is created on advice of Alejandro J. Cura to gauge developers interest in this feature. ** Affects: pay-service (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1604481 Title: Need a way to use payment service in non-Qt apps (e.g. games) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pay-service/+bug/1604481/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
