I can second this for the Sony Vaio SZ650N - the radio kill switch turns off bluetooth (which I never use, but might one day) but also turns off wifi (which I'm pathologically dependent on). So far the easiest way to kill bluetooth independent of wifi is to blacklist rfcomm, l2cap, bluetooth and hci_usb, because rmmod can't get them all out of a running kernel.
