[Bug 161094] Re: knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions
In my humble opinion this is a perfectly fine behavior. Like considering the wire is a fiber, which isn't exactly cheap I would want ever single piece of it used in order to be cost efficient ;-) I am closing this bug as won't fix, as we - Kubuntu - are really not going to change the behavior in such an enormous way. If you really want this to be changed, please create a bug on http://bugs.kde.org to get it changed in KDE itself, rather than Kubuntu. Thank you for helping us improve Kubuntu though :-) ** Changed in: kdegames (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Won't Fix -- knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 161094] Re: knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions
I can confirm this behaviour in Gutsy. I attach two screenshots. The first shows the game with all monitors abright, but some loose wires, so Knetwalk doesn't accept it. And the second screenshot with the same game but all wires attached. ** Attachment added: "Schermafdruk-knetwalk-1.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11749402/Schermafdruk-knetwalk-1.png -- knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 161094] Re: knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions
It seems that knetwalk not only checks that all computers are connected to the server but also that all wires are too connected, so every square on the board is connected. I observed this behaviour in Gutsy if I left some wires to connect. For the moment I had not encountered a game with more than one solution involving all squares to confirm my theory, and I don't know enough programming to look at the source code. -- knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 161094] Re: knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions
** Description changed: Some games have multiple possible solutions, but knetwalk apparently only accepts one. The attached screenshot shows a game that I recently solved, but knetwalk thinks that it's still unsolved. I'm reporting it here because I haven't been able to find an upstream bug tracker. + + EDIT: I'm still running Feisty. The knetwalk in question is version 1.0. -- knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
