[Bug 161193] Re: [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1
Upon inspection, the current version of libxclass0.9.2 doesn't contain any files that overlap with the libxclass0c2a package in older Ubuntu releases (the last libxclass0c2a in the archive was 0.9.1-1ubuntu1, which contained /usr/lib/libxclass.so.0.9.1, not /usr/lib/libxclass.so.0.9.2). Perhaps this Ubuntu diff can just be dropped, and this merge request turned into a sync request? -- [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 161193] Re: [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1
Since the files in the two packages don't overlap, no, there should be no problems at all when upgrading from dapper. In fact, the Conflicts/Replaces in the Debian package are also obsolete and should be dropped, but there's no need for Ubuntu to diverge from the Debian package for this reason alone. Rolling this over to a sync request. ** Summary changed: - [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1 + Please sync xclass (universe) 0.9.2-3 from Debian unstable (main) -- Please sync xclass (universe) 0.9.2-3 from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Unluckily, your debdiff does not include Debian Maintainer field adjustment (as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebianMaintainerField). Could you please provide a new one and subscribing ubuntu-universe-sponsors when ready? [Bug 161193] Re: [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1
Hi Steve, well, I think when we don't leave this conflicts/replaces in, we will have problems when dist-upgrading from dapper to hardy (LTS2LTS). (http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/libs/libxclass0c2a) or am I wrong? \sh -- [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I noticed your debdiff lists some changes in lib/libxclass/OXHtmlParse.cc and lib/libxclass/OXHtmlSizer.cc files. Are they required? If so, you should adjust debian/changelog to reflect such change. -- [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 161193] Re: [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1
This is pretty much ready to upload. The only problem is that since you're making changes to the Debian package you should modify the maintainer field as per the Debian Maintainer Field spec: «https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebianMaintainerField» As with your ldtp merge, it's nice to attach a debdiff against the Debian package, too. Also, you should close this bug from the changelog with the (LP: #161193) syntax. ** Changed in: xclass (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stephan Hermann (shermann) Status: New = In Progress -- [MoM Merge] xclass 0.9.2-3ubuntu1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
