Hi Aaron, I got your message on Segfault about this. The slideshow renders properly for us, but our package base is 16.04 (xenial). That's probably why it's still working here. Also, we'll be using 16.04 until 2018. I'll stay connected to #kubuntu-devel this week anyway to see if we can help.
