Public bug reported:
I was trying to get the nvidia-glx-new to work, because after clicking in kde
on custom settings, it downloaded some kind of a new kernel and afterwards I
couldn't log in.
After trying to do apt-get install nvidia-new-glx, it didn't work because it
complained the modules/xorg-glx was causing an error, I did an
apt-get source nvidia-glx-new --compile, but after installing the necessary
kernel headers, now it says that the glu is not found.
I am really confused now what's going on in my system, because I can no longer
access the desktop.
