[Bug 1624033] Re: unity issue

2016-09-16 Thread Paul White
So there's not a reproducible bug here and the problem has been solved.

I'll mark this one as "Invalid" but if the problem reappears please
change the bug status to "New" and add appropriate information that will
help the developers fix the problem that you are or may be having.

** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Invalid

[Bug 1624033] Re: unity issue

2016-09-16 Thread Stefan Schumacher
Here is a description how to solve it.
http://askubuntu.com/questions/824986/ubuntu-16-04-no-launcher-no-panel-unity-problem-after-installing-themes/825204#825204

In short, open a terminal with right click.
In your home directory:

cd .cache
mv configcompiz-1 configcompiz-1_renamed

That should solve your problem after a reboot/logout.

2016-09-15 Thread Anupam Datta
Yup. I did and rebooted but there is no change. After login, I see at the
left upper side, the menu is File Edit View Go Bookmarks Help
There is no panel, no launcher. No minimizer maximize button for any
application
