Would it be possible to assign some of the devices sharing interrupt 10 to their own interrupt (usb, pcmcia, video)? Otherwise you might try to use noirqdebug instead of the irqpoll option. This should prevent the interrupt to be disabled. Hi Leann, Sorry for the delay. We just had our chinese new year holiday ;) I tested Hardy Alpha 4 in livecd mode. Unfortunately this problem still exists. And irqpoll does work, but not 100%. It may be a wrong feeling but in hardy alpha 4, irqpoll is not perfect, i.e., after enable irqpoll, mouse is still a little "jerky". Please let me know if you need more tests. Hi Shannon, So HardyAlph4 will be released in the next day or two. It would probably just be easiest if you would test the new kernel by running the Alpha4 LiveCD. Also, there are daily cdimages available which should contain updated versions of the kernel (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily- live/current). Just check the manifest (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/hardy-desktop-i386.manifest) to see which kernel version is on that image. Hope that helps. Also, there are updated releases of the kernel available. As of this posting, the current version is 2.6.24-5.9. If you continue to test the newer kernels and give quick updates as to whether the issue still exists or not in the newer versions that would be helpful. Hardy Heron Alpha2 was recently released. It contains an updated version of the kernel. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha2 release from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/alpha-2/ . You should be able to then test the new kernel via the LiveCD.
