Public bug reported: On a completely fresh install of Gutsy on an IBM Thinkpad T43, network manager stores the network key in the keyring, but on the first login after a boot or after resuming, nm-applet prompts for the keyring password. Others have said that I should have a "remember the password permanently" option, but this is not present (it is present in other things, though). In feisty, I used libpam-keyring, but it's my understanding that similar functionality was integrated into gutsy, eliminating the need for it. The libpam-keyring package is available in gutsy as a virtual package, and installing it appears to do nothing. If manually installing the libpam-keyring package from feisty will work, I have no problem doing that, but I haven't tried this, and I would prefer that this work without the need for that.
