Well, thank you very much for getting back to me on this one. Yes I was beginning to have the same thoughts. Thank you for the suggestions on how to test the HD. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We noticed that you were installing the LTS version of Ubuntu using an older version of the installation media.
