I haven't dedicated any time to Gladex in a while. Now that I've started
a new job teaching high school physics I don't expect to work on Gladex
any time in the near future. I would love to see Gladex in Debian or
Ubuntu, but I cannot be the person to get that done. Sorry.

well, for the moment I am working on this bug Upstream. After the
packaging strategy will be done, the bug should be easily fixable on
Ubuntu. But as there is a kinda sync between upstream and Ubuntu
(concerning this topic) I'll put this bug on progress status and attach
the BZR branch I am working on (from Upstream)

There is a binary package available at
https://launchpad.net/gladex/0.4/0.4.1/+download/gladex-0.4.1-linux-2.6-intel.deb.
However it's created with epm rather than with the proper tools. The
binary package is good enough to install and uninstall the program, but
I don't think it conforms to any standards of what files go where.

Attached is the .list file used with epm to package Gladex-0.4.1. This
may be a good starting point for someone making a proper source package.
If someone puts together a source package I'd be willing to maintain it.
I just haven't learned how to properly create source packages from
scratch.
