Public bug reported: I reported this upstream [1], but there's been a release since then, and the author hasn't seen the issue either.
When I run shellcheck on my upstream project under Travis-CI, I see several occurrences of: shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument >From upstream: "I haven't seen this error before. From what I can tell from GHC issues 12865 and 12495, it may happen when GHC/shellcheck is built on a newer system but runs on one with an older kernel." Note that this does NOT occur on OS X with 0.4.5, so either it's an issue in the older version (and the package needs an update), or it's a Ubuntu specific build issue. To reproduce: * ensure you have shellcheck-0.4.4-4 installed * wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Winetricks/winetricks/master/src/winetricks * shellcheck winetricks 1: https://github.com/koalaman/shellcheck/issues/785 ** Affects: shellcheck (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1650846 Title: shellcheck: unable to decommit memory: Invalid argument (0.4.4) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shellcheck/+bug/1650846/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
