I can see from upstream changelog that 8.8.x are bug-fix releases. I am trying to use below cacti windows template on cacti-0.8.8f few month ago and I have to install rrdtool-1.4.x to use the template with proper graphing. http://everythingshouldbevirtual.com/cacti-monitoring-for-windows- servers But strangely today I try to setup the cacti with the template, this time the template work out of the box. I am not sure what happen (most probably is me) but i am glad that it work. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I added a specific Xenial line for this bug and I am closing the general bug because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu. This is may be a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in previous versions of Ubuntu, please perform as much as possible of the SRU Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention. If I remember correctly, the fix is trivial, just add a one or two-liner to support recognition of 1.5, no further code change required. I am even wondering if apart from the configure screen, this is an issue at all. Could you please show how "cacti do not work with rrdtool"?
