Public bug reported: After upgrading to Ubuntu 17.04 I've noticed that every rsync command has the -C option added and I can see no way to disable this very unwanted behavior. I've been running the same set of rsync commands for years and the -C option was never tacked on like it is now (as far as I can tell). I've read the man pages, checked the various config files, tried adding --no-C to all of my scripts (as annoying as that is) and still see no functioning way to disable this.
