[Bug 1693673] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 IOB Error when the Mustang board rebooted

2017-07-12 Thread Thang Nguyen
Hi Joseph,
Your test kernel resolves the bug. The issue does not happen when testing
Ubuntu reboot over 100 times.
Will you apply the patch for kernel 4.4, 4.8 and 4.10?

Regards/Thang

[Bug 1693673] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 IOB Error when the Mustang board rebooted

2017-07-11 Thread Joseph Salisbury
I built a 4.8 based kernel with a pick of commit 8aba84741810. The test
kernel can be downloaded from:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1693673/

Can you test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug?

It doesn't appear the commit mentioned in comment #4 has landed in
mailine or linux-next yet. Can you post a comment when It does land,
and we can submit and SRU for the Ubuntu kernel.
