That version is now dead, and there is no answer to #7 since a while

[Bug 1696952] Re: Can't drag with a second finger while holding down the clickpad (on a Xiaomi 12)

2017-06-16 Thread Steffen Schuhmann
I have installed evtest and monitored the touch-drag. So far it looks
like some events coming in from the finger movement(there is more output
while dragging with a finger).

Is there some data I should provide?

2017-06-14 Thread Daniel van Vugt
The next step would be to find out if this is a kernel bug. Roughly that
involves:

sudo apt install evtest
sudo evtest

But I'm not yet sure exactly what information we'd be looking for
(there's a lot of information).

[Bug 1696952] Re: Can't drag with a second finger while holding down the clickpad (on a Xiaomi 12)

2017-06-14 Thread Steffen Schuhmann
Sadly no option is changing the behaviour of the double input.

* Switched the settings
* Rebooted the system
* Tested the input

# Addition
I may also haven't worked in elementary os, i might have clicked the corner
with my fingernail which isn't recognized as input

[Bug 1696952] Re: Can't drag with a second finger while holding down the clickpad (on a Xiaomi 12)

2017-06-13 Thread Daniel van Vugt
In Gnome Shell, try this (worked for me):

Install package 'gnome-tweak-tool' and run it ("Tweak Tool"). Then try the
different options in:
Keyboard & Mouse > Touchpad > Click Method

I found the default of "Default" didn't work. But changing it to
"Fingers" does.

[Bug 1696952] Re: Can't drag with a second finger while holding down the clickpad (on a Xiaomi 12)

2017-06-13 Thread Steffen Schuhmann
I have tested the click and drag action in an elementary os 0.4 Image I
had laying around, which supported the action, but only in the corners
of the touchpad though.

Is there an option, which could prevent mouse pointer movement after
recognizing a second touch point?
