Encountered in Ubuntu 17.10 installing inxi with: sudo apt install inxi The installation hangs on Setting up hddtemp (0.3-beta15-52) ... After a while an error of daemon was report: Job for hddtemp.service failed because a timeout was exceeded. I am running into the same issue when I try to install *any* package using apt. It hangs at `Setting up hddtemp (0.3-beta15-52) ...` then timeouts with a plymouth-related error. In the event that it does it would help us out if you could run it under strace e.g. 'strace plymouth --ping' so that we can determine why the process is hanging.
