I too see tons of messages in systemd. xrandr -q works fine from the terminal. however, I just caught these access denied messages as well. Looks like the root cause. Is that still an issue? the log have quite some warnings that could explain the issue "gsd-color[3547]: could not find device: property match 'XRANDR_name'='eDP-1' does not exist" could it be that you have a buggy monitor configuration? The location setting was turned off and I just turned it on now. I try to reboot but it still doesn't work. My screen configuration is standard: I am using the screen of my laptop (ASUS UX301L) without any external monitor.
