[Bug 1751021] Re: retpoline abi files are empty on i386
Hello. I've noticed this issue with blank '/boot/retpoline-*' files in 16.04 LTS Release (i386/x86_32) after Linux kernel update to the v4.4.0-115 version. (Generally, I've started to seeing these files when "Spectre_V12" patches were available for i386 architecture. [Bug 1751021] Re: retpoline abi files are empty on i386
Confirmed that the retpoline file is being populated on trusty kernel for i386 (checked with contents from linux- image-3.13.0-143-generic_3.13.0-143.192_i386.deb). Marking 'verification-done-trusty'. ** Tags removed: verification-needed-trusty ** Tags added: verification-done-trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1751021 Title: retpoline abi files are empty on i386 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1751021/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1751021] Re: retpoline abi files are empty on i386
This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed- trusty' to 'verification-done-trusty'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-trusty' to 'verification-failed- trusty'. If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you! ** Tags added: verification-needed-trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1751021 Title: retpoline abi files are empty on i386 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1751021/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
