Re: [Bug 1754012] Re: [FFe] openwsman, wsmancli

2018-03-10 Thread Andres Rodriguez
Uploaded fixes for the Ubuntu archive and the PPA (the latter due to it not
yet being published in the Ubuntu Archive).

Packages should be available as soon as they build and publish in the
PPA.

Thanks for the attention on this bug, but the upgrade process isn't
reliable:

Unpacking libwsman-client4:amd64 (2.6.5-0ubuntu2~18.04.2) ...
dpkg: error processing archive
/tmp/apt-dpkg-install-a3GKdH/7-libwsman-client4_2.6.5-0ubuntu2~18.04.2_amd64.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/etc/openwsman/openwsman_client.conf', which is
also in package libwsman-client2:amd64 2.6.5-0ubuntu1

I've uploaded a new revision of the package fixing the binary to reflect
the correct soname.

2018-03-09 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
The openwsman binaries are still in review in binNEW - apparently it
seems the soname for libwsman-client has changed but the binary package
name did not. I would like some information from the uploader before I
proceed as normally in such case that the binary name should follow the
soname change.

2018-03-09 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
Just a note for the future: the openwsman debian/copyright would really
need a proper creation, possibly mentioning all the licenses that
compose the source (this is the biggest issue I had while re-reviewing
the source). They're compatible, but it's generally a good practice.

2018-03-09 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
Generally as these packages have been removed from the archive and now
requested to be re-added it means an FFe is not required. The packages
will just go through the regular NEW source/binary review as for all new
uploads.

That being said, I am performing reviews of those now.

Thanks, this will resolve a bunch of update issues in bionic. Also
interested to know if the newer wsman helps or hinders AMT devices.

[Bug 1754012] Re: [FFe] openwsman, wsmancli

2018-03-08 Thread Andres Rodriguez
** Description changed:

- wsman is useful in MAAS for AMT device power control. In Bionic, curl3
- is being replaced with curl4, and upgrades are currently complicated by
- the fact that wsman ultimately depends on curl3 (via wsman-cli and
- libswman-curl-client-transport1 which depends on libcurl3).
+ [FFE]
+ openwsman FTBFS with openssl. A new upstream release is required to be able
to solve this. This also requires wsmancli to be updated and built against the
newer openwsman.
+
+ [Original bug report]
+ wsman is useful in MAAS for AMT device power control. In Bionic, curl3 is
being replaced with curl4, and upgrades are currently complicated by the fact
that wsman ultimately depends on curl3 (via wsman-cli and
libswman-curl-client-transport1 which depends on libcurl3).

Not sure whether libwsman-curl-client-transport1 will actually also work
with libcurl4, or if a newer version of libwsman-curl-client-transport1
exists which does work with libcurl4, or if a patch is needed. Filing
this bug as part of the MAAS-on-bionic testing effort.
