This may be the same bug as I had and also bugs 154162, 161215, 147547. Ubuntu 7.10, Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H with ATI X1250. Could not perform graphical install, text install appears to hang after reboot. The packages in you ppa, you mean? Those are not installable (both depend on xserver-xorg-core and try to remove it). I think because xserver-xorg-core is versioned 2:1.3.0*.0* in gutsy while in hardy it's 2:1.4.1*~2007...* and radeonhd seems to think 1.3.0.0 is bigger than 1.1.4~2007... or so Or do you provide packages for hardy? I only provide for Gutsy at the moment. I just checked my ppa page and I see no mention of hardy? I will think of making Hardy packages, or make the Depends field work for both.
