You can check out Tasque (http://live.gnome.org/Tasque), which can use e-d-s as a backend for todo lists (along with other backends) - svn version kind of works (on Hardy). As of 0.9.3, the tasks functionality has been removed, and it's been decided that e-d-s should be used. From the changelog: 2008-01-03 Boyd Timothy [EMAIL PROTECTED] We're planning to implement a tasks interface in the future. This will allow developers to write relatively simple task add-ins to create tasks in a separate task management system (like EDS). Until then, the current Tasks Add-in is pretty unstable and shouldn't be released as such. Several other components of the GNOME desktop integrate closely with EDS, and it is already used for task storage by the Evolution e-mail and personal information management client. Using EDS as a backend for Tomboy tasks would make it possible to seamlessly manage those tasks in other applications that integrate with EDS, but it would also add a tremendous amount of unnecessary complexity in both the implementation and the user interface. The developers decided that the Tomboy task system should be simple, lightweight and consistent with the current Tomboy user experience, which rules out EDS support at the present time. The Tomboy task system and the EDS task system can be bridged in the future by Conduit, a powerful synchronization system for the GNOME desktop environment that is still in early stages of development.
