This fixes my slow touchpad on latitude D830. There should be some way to do this in GUI, I'm on kubuntu. Timo: I had the same problem on Intrepid alpa5 up-to-date. My computer is a Dell Latitude D630 with a AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint synaptic touchpad.
