2018-07-22 Thread JT
It might not be clear, but that's a 55" monitor by the way. The font is way
too big in the places that you might think it's normal sized.

Re: [Bug 1774749] Re: scaling is off

2018-07-22 Thread JT
I've switched to KDE for my desktop, and now it's just not working at all.
I'm attaching a screenshot of what is going on. Some UI elements are HUGE,
and some are too small.

I've fiddled with different versions of Freeplane, different versions of
Java, different KDE settings, and different 'screen size' settings in the
Freeplane appearance section to no avail. What can I do?

It sounds like Swing apps pretend to be DPI aware, and it's both a) getting
the wrong DPI information and b) applying that to only some elements.

Re: [Bug 1774749] Re: scaling is off

2018-06-24 Thread JT
Hi Felix,

Sorry I have not gotten back to you. I've been traveling and thus away from
my external monitor at home. I can essentially set the 'look and feel'
correctly for my laptop monitor or my external monitor, but it requires
changing the settings every time I go from one to the other. I have to use
the 24" setting for my laptop and the 48" setting when I connect to my
monitor.
