[Bug 1807621] Re: missing icon theme and segmentation fault trying to open qpdfview

2019-04-14 Thread Walter Lapchynski
In qpdfview 0.4.17~beta1+git20180709-2, opening from Firefox, pcmanfm-
qt, and terminal, all work without problems. Sure, there's the complaint
about the icon, but that's not particularly surprising. If you still
have the problem, please attach an example PDF file and the specs of
your machine.

[Bug 1807621] Re: missing icon theme and segmentation fault trying to open qpdfview

2018-12-09 Thread Chris Guiver
this bug hit my inbox; so I booted 18.10 on x86 & tried it

guiverc@dx6120lu:/de2900$ qpdfview Firearms-Act-1996-v.64.pdf
Icon theme "breeze-dark" not found.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

guiverc@dx6120lu:/de2900$ apt-cache policy qpdfview
qpdfview:
  Installed: 0.4.17~beta1+git20180514-1
  Candidate: 0.4.17~beta1+git20180514-1
  Version table:

The pdf i tried to view was the first I found. It was opened
successfully using the same command on my 19.04 x86_64 box (using
0.4.17~beta1+git20180709-2 [typed in, not copy/pasted])

have you verified this is a bug before reporting it ?
have you looked at the theme - it appears to be a KDE theme
have you tried installing the the missing theme ?
