Once I enabled KDE connect permissions, KDE Connect worked fine for file browsing, remote control, receiving and sending texts, and phone notifications. Verified on Android 8 & 9 phones with Cosmic. Tested for Cosmic. Before the update, kdeconnect simply didn't work - computer couldn't find phone; phone couldn't find computer. Since the update, they are miraculously connected once more. Remote control of amarok works flawlessly. Notifications work as they should. Remote file browsing works! Tested for Bionic and Cosmic.
The major fix ('security'), which is the remote file browsing works for
me, whereas it did not work with the current release pocket versions.
Remote media player information seemed to work fine, and notification in
the widget appear at the top.
Most importantly, although I am not a frequent kdeconnect user, I did
not notice any apparent regressions is as many of the other features
that I was able to test.
