Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v5.0-rc7 kernel[0]. With my headphones jacked in, the line out and headphones output options keep switching automatically, resulting in crackling (and broken audio). I have tried many solutions I found online but none of the suggested fixes work.
