[Bug 1819084] Re: Installer crashed

2019-03-19 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
Mar 8 01:55:10 ubuntu /install.py: keeping language packs for: en_CA.UTF-8
en_US.UTF-8
Mar 8 01:55:11 ubuntu ubiquity: W: --force-yes is deprecated, use one of the
options starting with --allow instead.
Mar 8 01:55:11 ubuntu ubiquity: E: Could not get lock
/target/var/cache/apt/archives/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily
unavailable)
Mar 8 01:55:11 ubuntu ubiquity: E: Unable to lock directory
/target/var/cache/apt/archives/
Mar 8 01:55:20 ubuntu /install.py: MD5 failure on
/target/lib/firmware/intel/ibt-hw-37.7.bseq
Mar 8 01:55:21 ubuntu ubiquity: W: --force-yes is deprecated, use one of the
options starting with --allow instead.

This may be symptoms of a disk that is about to fail -- these errors are
things that really shouldn't be happening: "Resource temporarily
unavailable" trying to claim a lock or an MD5 failure on firmware files
aren't normal.

Could you please first check that the image you downloaded was indeed
complete (by verifying the image from the boot menu, and/or checking its
checksum (see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto#Verifying_the_ISO_integrity
and https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/CDIntegrityCheck).

If everything looks good; I would suggest trying to install on a
separate computer, or replacing the disk / installing on a different
device (such as installing on another USB disk).

Thanks!
