[Bug 1820143] Re: Package python-vte missing from Ubuntu 19.04
You can't just remove stuff because you don't like it! That's appallingly bad manners. Abominade https://github.com/aliafshar/a8 depends on this package and overhauling it will require a lot of work - it doesn't use gi at all. Please reconsider adding the package back. Good distros don't break their customers. [Bug 1820143] Re: Package python-vte missing from Ubuntu 19.04
The removal of python-vte was intentional. It is part of an old vte version that hasn't been maintained for years. Please ask the developer of the app that needs python-vte to switch to GObject Introspection. The Debian package for the vte GObject Introspection support is gir1.2-vte-2.91 ** Package changed: ubuntu => vte (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: vte (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1820143 Title: Package python-vte missing from Ubuntu 19.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vte/+bug/1820143/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
