Here is the output from the konsole. Unfortunately after the failsaife login the screen keeps black. After the regular login there are again one more set of desktop-icons. Reopen report. Everyone who's effected by this issue, please install kdebase-workspace-dbg * log out * set the session to login to, to failsafe * a konsole window will open * run /usr/lib/kde4/bin/startkde * watch for any useful output and paste them here, if you can't see anything useful, you can nontheless paste the output so somewhere else can take a look at.
