That fix (commit 9a081a80b7c9 ("fix segfault on strtol")), which is in usbauth v1.0.1, does seem to have fixed this problem. Ubuntu 19.04(? disco) contains usbauth v1.0.1, and installing that package on my 18.04 LTS (Ubuntu bionic) system fixed the segfault.
Testing with invalid serial="..." values, and similar, confirmed it works; see attached usbauth.conf I suggest the usbauth 1.0.1+git20190123.5004f7d-1 Ubuntu disco package also be used for Ubuntu bionic LTS. ** Attachment added: "Now working (with usbauth v1.0.1) /etc/usbauth.conf" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usbauth/+bug/1823542/+attachment/5253740/+files/usbauth.conf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1823542 Title: usbauth segfault To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usbauth/+bug/1823542/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
