[Bug 182910] Re: Desktop file spelling

2008-02-13 Thread Richard Johnson
Andrew: Could you please recreate this patch by fixing only the typo in
the comment section at this time instead of recreating a new comment,
and also a quick fix to your changelog to add a space after the * as
David suggested? Thanks!

OK. This one simply fixes the typo and doesn't change any thing else.

[Bug 182910] Re: Desktop file spelling

2008-02-03 Thread David Cordero
It's good thing include a (LP: #182910) after your entry on changelog:

 * Edited description in .desktop file. (LP: #182910)

That allow launchpad close the bug automatically.

I think that your Comment field in .desktop file is too long.

And i don't understand why appear /debian/license, all your
/debian/changelog, /debian/postinst, etc... in your debdiff

Check the patch sent to Debian. That changes are enoughts.

[Bug 182910] Re: Desktop file spelling

2008-02-03 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
Ya, like I said I'm just doing this to learn how. I really don't
understand why all those other files were in the debdiff as I didn't
tuch them. I re-did it and they're not there now. I used the text from
the Debian report and added the LP bug number.

[Bug 182910] Re: Desktop file spelling

2008-02-03 Thread David Cordero
On changelog the entries have 1 space after *

 * Edited  instead *Edited...

Usually the Comment begin with a verb, and if you know more languages
you could add Comments for those.

has you try if the package work and the icon appear?

I am learning too, check this bug, is where i learn how to create a
.desktop file, i had the same errors, check my debdiff you could use
some things for your .desktop bug:
