[Bug 183619] Re: [hardy/intrepid] wlan0: AP denied association
I have this same problem, with a Linksys WAG 354 G, and an "Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61)". I worked around it by changing the speed of the Wireless LAN on the Linksys (Wireless, Advanced Wireless settings) from Auto to 24Mb. Hope this helps people find out what the problem with the driver is. -- [hardy/intrepid] wlan0: AP denied association https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183619 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 183619] Re: [hardy/intrepid] wlan0: AP denied association
Hi I installed Kubuntu Intrepid some days ago and everything worked fine for some time, but today after booting, my wireless stopped working. I can't connect to any AP, neither WEP, nor w/o encryption. dmesg repeats 'wlan0: privacy configuration mismatch and mixed-cell disabled - disassociate' all over... Usually I use knetworkmanager to connect, but I also tried with iwconfig and via editing /etc/network/interfaces, but both didn't change anything at all. I can scan for the APs and loading the module gives no error. Any ideas how to solve this monster? Preferably without the need for a working internetconnection ;) <- -- [hardy/intrepid] wlan0: AP denied association https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183619 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. There are one of two ways you should be able to test: 1) If you are comfortable installing packages on your own, the linux- image-2.6.27-* package is currently available for you to install and test. --or-- 2) The upcoming Alpha5 for Intrepid Ibex 8.10 will contain this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. Alpha5 is set to be released Thursday Sept 4. Please watch http://www.ubuntu.com/testing for Alpha5 to be announced. You should then be able to test via a LiveCD. Please let us know immediately if this newer 2.6.27 kernel resolves the bug reported here or if the issue remains. More importantly, please open a new bug report for each new bug/regression introduced by the 2.6.27 kernel and tag the bug report with 'linux-2.6.27'. Also, please specifically note if the issue does or does not appear in the 2.6.26 kernel.

Same issue here with latest updates (kernel 2.6.26-5 and 2.6.27-2). Both kernels fail to get me connected on Intel 4965. My old PCMCIA card works fine though... [Bug 183619] Re: [hardy/intrepid] wlan0: AP denied association
Thanks again, we really appreicate your help and feedback. ** Tags added: cft-2.6.27 -- [hardy/intrepid] wlan0: AP denied association https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183619 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
