Public bug reported: After the error message, there is a count down and the boot proceeds normally.
I checked the directory /boot/grub/x86_64-efi/ and hwmatch.mod is not found there. I can see it in /usr/lib/grub/i386-pc/ but not in /usr/lib/grub/x86_64-efi ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 19.04 Package: grub-efi-amd64-bin 2.02+dfsg1-12ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.0.0-20.21-generic 5.0.8 Uname: Linux 5.0.0-20-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.10-0ubuntu27.1 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Sun Jul 14 11:36:40 2019 InstallationDate: Installed on 2019-06-23 (20 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 19.04 "Disco Dingo" - Release amd64 (20190416) SourcePackage: grub2 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug disco -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1836477 Title: At every boot, I get a error message saying hwmatch cannot be found To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1836477/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
