I can confirm the bug. It's related to nvidia drivers. No probs with 104.23. Problems started since 169.04 was released. I copied these reports exactly after the crash. It was not hard to reproduce the bug, i was just sending myself messages from another ICQ client and account, and closing the message window each time i pressed the "view" button on the notification of incoming message.
