Public bug reported: We have a network that's working fine with 2 other linux machines and an XP laptop. For some reason though the ipw2100 card on my HP tc1100 laptop sees the network but doesn't seem to request IP addresses properly from dhcp.
dhclient ends up with: No DHCPOFFERS received. Trying recorded lease 192.168.2.3 PING 192.168.2.1 (192.168.2.1) 56(84) bytes of data. --- 192.168.2.1 ping statistics --- 1 packets transmitted, 0 received, +1 errors, 100% packet loss, time 0ms No working leases in persistant database. Sleeping. The modem is turned on (it was working previously and the wireless light activates). Networkmanager even sees the session ID but it stops at 28% configuring device. It's similar looking to bug #30712 but on gutsy and its definately not currently resolved. ** Affects: ipw2100 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ipw2100 wifi driver sees network but wont connect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183938 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
