[Bug 184154] Re: [Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset
I'm going to mark this bug report as Invalid then since we don't have enough information to determine it's root cause yet. However, I am going to tag it needs-devrelease-testing to identify it as a bug that contains information about specific hardware in case others want to test it. Thanks! ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid ** Tags added: needs-devrelease-testing -- [Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184154 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 184154] Re: [Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset
Since I can reproduce this now even on windows I guess it's either defective hardware or a totally screwed up ACPI implementation. Since I don't have linux installed on this machine anymore I can't give further details, sorry. -- [Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184154 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 184154] Re: [Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description doesn't yet have enough information. Please include as attachments the following additional information, if you have not already done so (please pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by the Ubuntu Kernel Team: 1. Please include the output of the command 'uname -a' in your next response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture. 2. Please run the command 'dmesg > dmesg.log' after trying to resume from standby and attach the resulting file 'dmesg.log' to this bug report. 3. Please run the command 'sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log' and attach the resulting file 'lspci-vvnn.log' to this bug report. For your reference, the full description of procedures for kernel-related bug reports is available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies . [Bug 184154] Re: [Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in linux which is the package for the kernel in Hardy. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => linux -- [Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184154 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
