I have now booted a lot of times with Hardy, with HT enabled, and it works like a charm. Thanks for your post. I have already Hardy installed on the computer, and has booted a few times without problems. But it's a bit difficult to know if the bug is actually gone or not as it just happens once in maybe 10 or 20 times, (seemingly random, however just on cold-boots I think). I have saved all log files from most of the failing boots, if there would be any use to attach some of them, please tell me. Hi, The Hardy Heron Alpha series was recently released which contains an updated version of the kernel. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha release from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/ . You should be able to then test the new kernel via the LiveCD.
