Using Ubuntu 20.04, I have a disk mounted automatically via /etc/fstab when booting. I confirm this issue, too. I have a disk mounted automatically via /etc/fstab when booting, and the disk icon shows up on dock by default. After this, the dock loads very slowly. I can confirm this bug an completely vanilla 20.04 and 20.10 installs on two completely different machines.
